NBA: Utah Jazz - Golden State Warriors
- Title : NBA: Utah Jazz - Golden State Warriors
I’m going with the Jazz in this one. They are playing great and while they did blow a 16-point lead to New Orleans, they did come back to beat them by 11 points. Utah is too deep and the Warriors don’t have the depth on either end of the floor to take out the Jazz in their own building. I will go with Utah in this one
Jazz, extending their win streak should be a matter of failed execution, as their style counters the Warriors. Defensively, this means forcing the Warriors off the three-point line and into two-point range. Offensively, this means slowing the tempo and utilizing their shooters. Thats why we go for under tonight
We talked about the defenses so let’s highlight some offense. Golden State is averaging 111.7 points per game on 44.4 percent shooting while Utah is averaging 112.3 points per game on 46.7 percent shooting. The Jazz will play solid defense on Curry where he can’t get going on his shot and will force the game to be a low-scoring affair.
Both of these teams are 6-9 O/U on totals this season. That marries well with the narrative of Utah being one of the better defensive teams in the league; and the Jazz are, allowing just 106 ppg. Meanwhile, Golden State is not the offensive team it was in its recent prime and sometimes the algorithms don’t fully account for the most recent results.
The Warriors should be able to generate more points with their best lineup but Green has missed time and Andrew Wiggins has not scored like they need him to. Playing against Utah is not the best spot for breakouts for anyone. Take the under here
