- Title : Champions League, Maximum Stake: Manchester City - Dortmund
The Champions League returns with the first leg of the quarter-finals and begins with the two matches scheduled for Tuesday 6 April. Among these, the match between Pep Guardiola's Manchester City and Edin Terzic's Borussia Dortmund will be played in England and more precisely at the Etihad Stadium, with the kick-off at 21:00. The return match is scheduled for Wednesday 14 April in Germany.
City qualified for the quarter-finals, eliminating Monchengladbach in the round of 16 and beating the Germans 2-0 in both the first leg and second leg. To tell the truth, the home factor was completely canceled, as both matches were played on the neutral ground of the Puskas Arena in Budapest in Hungary. Shifting their sights on the Premier League, however, the team led by Pep Guardiola has just returned from a 2-0 away win at Leicester, which is now getting closer and closer to the title of the English championship.
Borussia Dortmund was capable of eliminating an always uncomfortable opponent like Lopetegui's Sevilla, and as usual Haaland was the main protagonist. The Gialloneri took a decisive step towards qualification by winning 3-2 at Sanchez Pizjuan, and then draw at home for 2-2 and thus managing to contain the comeback attempt from Sevilla.
In Bundesliga, on the other hand, Edin Terzic's team suffered another defeat, the number ten of the season, in the 2-1 home defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt and going to minus seven from the Champions League spots.
MANCHESTER CITY (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Stones, Rúben Dias, Zinchenko; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gündoğan; Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Sterling. Coach: Pep Guardiola.
DORTMUND (4-2-3-1): Hitz; Can, Akanji, Hummels, Schulz; Delaney, Dahoud; Hazard, Reus, Guerreiro; Haaland. Coach: Edin Terzic
Manchester City is the big favourites to win this game and Dortmund proved against Sevilla that they don't have the strongest defence. However they almost score in every game they play.
