Prediction Serie A: Parma - Crotone
- Title : Prediction Serie A: Parma - Crotone
There is no time to breathe in the Serie A, in fact we must immediately think of the 33rd matchday which will close a really busy week for all the teams. Saturday will see the clash between the last two of the standings with Parma-Crotone meeting at 18:00, who are forced to win and must play the last cards to be able to reach a safe position. Parma are slightly ahead in the standings compared to Crotone but the gap compared to the fourth to last is large for both, respectively 11 and 16 points. So with only six games left to play - and 18 points available - their hopes are very low.
Parma are in the nineteenth position in the Serie A standings with 20 points and a distance - as already mentioned above - of 11 points compared to the fourth last place temporarily occupied by Torino and Benevento. Parma, in the last five games have collected only one point - a draw against Benevento - and they did not win since the match against Roma on March 14th.
D'Aversa's team with 33 goals scored has the worst attack of the tournament and also the 60 goals conceded place it as the second worst defense, doing better only than Crotone who has conceded 80. Things have precipitated in the last phase of the championship when the team is forced to attack and they have scored 8 goals in the last 5 games, however they have still not managed to win beacuse of 14 goals conceded.
Crotone occupies the twentieth and last place in the ranking with only 15 points and a distance of 16 points compared to Torino and Benevento fourth to last. The gap for Cosmi's team now seems unbridgeable, in fact when there are only six games to go until the end of the championship - with 18 points available - they are now almost certain to relegation to Serie B.
The arrival of the former Perugia coach gave a jolt in the offensive phase which recovered with the change of form and the insertion of the attacking midfielder behind the two strikers, but suffered more in defense. In fact, Crotone have the worst defense in the league with 80 goals conceded and in attack - apart from the 0-1 conceded by Sampdoria - they have always managed to score at least one goal in the last eight games, but obtaining only one victory (against Torino).
Parma (4-3-3): Sepe; Laurini, Osorio, Bani, Pezzella; Hernani, Brugman, Kurtic; Mihaila, Cornelius, Gervinho. Coach. D’Aversa
Crotone (3-4-1-2): Cordaz; Djidji, Golemic, Luperto; Molina, Zanellato, Petriccione, Reca; Messias; Ounas, Simy. Coach. Cosmi
Both teams need a victory tonight and will go 100% offensive from start. My bet will be over 2.5 goals here.
