Summary:

After the break for the national teams, Serie A restarts with a very interesting day that will all be played on the same day: Saturday 3 April. The 18:00 match is one of the most fascinating of the day as the derby between Torino and Juventus will be played at the Olimpico Grande Torino stadium. Torino want to restart from the 1-0 defeat at Marassi against Ranieri's Sampdoria. Juventus, on the other hand, must reverse course after the incredible 1-0 home defeat at their own Stadium against Benevento. Nicola's team is currently in 17th place with 23 points, Pirlo's is third at 55.

Torino:

Nicola's team is experiencing a very complicated season that will probably see them fighting to get out of relegation zone until the end. Only 23 points won this season, the result of four wins, 11 draws and 12 defeats. In the last five games there have been six points scored with two wins and three defeats.

The attack is the department that works best with 39 goals scored, 1.40 per game, but the defense languishes with 50 goals conceded, 1.85 every 90 minutes. As mentioned, the situation is very critical with only one point ahead of Cagliari third from last.

The situation in the home games is, if possible even worse than the season as a whole. Torino is the worst team in Serie A for home performance. Only 10 points have been won in 13 games, the result of one victory, seven draws and five defeats. The attack does not perform at its best as evidenced by the 18 goals, 1.38 per game while the defense continues to concede a lot, 23 goals scored with an average of 1.77 every 90 minutes. The only positive note are the six points scored in the last five games played in Turin with one win, three draws and one defeat in the match against Inter.

The best player is always Andrea Belotti. The player is the captain and driver of this team as demonstrated by the 11 goals scored so far.

Juventus:

The bianconeri are in a very complicated phase right now. First the elimination against Porto in the Champions League. Juventus are now also slipping too far behind to continue their nine consecutive years winning of Serie A. The standings say 55 points, 10 less than leaders Inter, thanks to 16 wins, seven draws and four defeats. A performance that seemed to be growing a lot before the game against Benevento in the last round of the championship. The attack is at a good level as shown by the 54 goals scored, 2 per game but as always they have a really good defence aswell with only 23 goals conceded, 0.85 every 90 minutes which make the bianconeri the best defense of the whole tournament. The dream is to reach Inter but only a Champions League placement seems within reach.

The performance away from the stadium is another problem for the Juventus team. In the 13 games played away from home, only 23 points have been won, the result of six wins, five draws and two defeats. This is also due to a lower offensive propulsion, there are 25 goals scored 1.92 per match but above all to a greater defensive fragility as evidenced by the average of 1 goal per game from 13 overall. In the last five outings away from the pitch, the points won are only seven, the result of two victories, one draw and two defeats against Inter and Napoli. The best player is definitely Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese has suffered a lot of criticism this season but has nevertheless already scored 23 goals in this league which make him the best scorer of the tournament ahead of Lukaku who is at 19.

Probable formations:

Torino (3-5-2): Sirigu; Izzo, Bremer, Rodriguez; Vojvoda, Baselli, Rincon, Mandragora, Ansaldi; Sanabria, Belotti. Coach. Nicola

Juventus (4-4-2): Szczesny; Cuadrado, Chiellini, De Ligt, Danilo; Ramsey, Bentancur, Rabiot, Chiesa; Morata, Ronaldo. Coach. Pirlo

My prediction for Torino - Juventus

There are 151 previous derbies played in Turin. The advantage is for Juventus who have won 73, 43 draws and 35 wins for Torino. In games played with Torino "at home" The situation mitigates a bit with 20 wins for Torino, 23 draws and 34 Juventus.

Juventus need to secure a victory tonight and will be very hungry after the previous loss against Benevento. I predict Ronaldo to score tonight and I bealive it will be 1-3 win for Juventus.

My bet will be Juventus -0.75 (Asian lines).
